There are four primary music theory workshops for the beginner to intermediate music student.
The workshops are designed as focused target areas to getting those music elements down cold.

The Music Notes Workshop
This workshop as three main sections focused on learn music notes, it starts out for the complete newbie to music by learning the note names, symbols, and locations on the piano keyboard. This is essential for you to understand as the workshops use the keyboard as the primary visual aid in learning the notes.
You'll be learning how to read music meaning by starting out with the correct visual aid so your brain doesn't have to be thinking about where you would play notes.
With a good understanding of the keyboard you'll move next to the Master Staff. You'll be able to learn how to draw the staff clefs and learn where all the notes are in about 30 minutes. with the last step you'll be able to own the master staff in just a few weeks.
The last section is a complete understanding of Note Intervals, that is the distance between two notes. Being able to read note patterns will make seeing and playing of note combinations easier. This one thing when learned properly will accelerate the speed at which you can sight read and play song phrases.
The Music Rhythm Workshop
All music pieces have rhythm patterns. They are defined by the notes and symbols time value, which directs the musician in duration of a note.
The basic duration is a beat. Note symbols let you know how to use the beat by either dividing it up into smaller bits or combining them together for extended length of sound.
Understanding the complete notation and use of rhythm is the one essential music element that you have to have. Audiences will forgive an errant note, but they are unforgiving when it comes to rhythm.
The rhythm continuum is a concept that has helped many musicians improve and get on the right track to playing and performing their music.

The Key Signature and Scales Workshop
This workshop covers the two most important aspects of music elements which are key signatures and scales. Understanding of these principles of music allow you to move into any key without having to scared of all those sharps and flats.
You'll learn all the Keys both major and minor by working your way through developing your own circle of fifths chart. This process will help you complete understand how this structure of keys is designed and how you will now know what to expect when you encounter tunes in different keys.
Building off of the key signature you will start to understand scale mathematics and how these fundamental formulas will make learning any scale a breeze. Having master of music scales is vital to your ability to play phrases and improvise. Knowing what scale you can use with a chord can lead to some great compositions.
Knowing your scales is one of the first steps in analyzing and learning songs at at fast pace. With the 10 or so scale types and additional modes you learn to create them in any key. That leads to your individualized understanding, composing, and improvisation. Wouldn't be nice not to have use others licks?
The Creating Chords Workshop
Chords are the words of music. If you know the four types of triad chords in all keys signatures you have the foundations for every chord you will play or want to compose with.
Knowing chords allow you to get beyond note by note playing. Sequences of chords are known as progressions and you hear this all the time. Music moves from one chord to the next layering on melody and other embellishments.
Chords are what allow you to start playing music rather than just reading and reacting to it.
This workshop will take you through the basics of chord structure and presentation. You'll learn pattern recognition of inversions and how to spell every chord in every key. You'll learn how to use chords to build your own diatonic harmonic system. These systems set the origin for all song composition and fast learning.
